Once installed, the app checks for new versions on launch and prompts you to restart. No reinstall needed.

First-launch caveat: macOS asks you to right-click → Open the first time; Windows shows a SmartScreen warning (“More info” → “Run anyway”); on Linux make the AppImage executable (`chmod +x`) and run it. After that you're done.
